Revive Tanki is a fan-made project that aims to preserve the game, which was once meant to be the successor of tanki and is still loved by many. After the official servers shutdown on 22th of January 2020, the game was no longer available to play. After the shutdown, the game was revived by a group of enthusiasts who managed to create a private server. After a long period of development, the custom server finally opened its doors on 9th of October 2021. The game is now available to play for free, and the project is still being developed and improved.
The game is a client based multiplayer online game in the arcade tank simulator genre. It uses the free-to-play business model and runs on the Unity engine. It was officially released on March 13, 2018. The gameplay mechanic is built around conflict — the game is played only in multiplayer mode. Players compete against each other, and for every tank destroyed, they receive experience points. Since the respawn is almost instantaneous, the game is very fast and dynamic.
