The 8th ranked season has ended today. A new chapter and a new season open before us – the Season of the Phoenix!
Every player who played at least one battle last season has already received their well-deserved rewards. The graffiti will be given out tomorrow morning. As usual, at the end of every season we reduce the reputation points of most players, so that everybody has a fair chance of reaching the top of the reputation ladder in the new season.
Matchmaking changes
The new season starts with changes to the matchmaking system, which were first tested a few days ago:
- Lower ranks and new players no longer play against high ranks. This makes the game a lot fairer and easier for new players. We have noticed a significant drop in one-sided battles since this change. More rank groups are to follow.
- You find battles faster than before. If a battle doesn't start for a while because it is still searching for players, placeholder bots are added.
- You don't lose reputation if you joined a battle in its last 5 minutes.
