Revive Tanki is a fan-run private server for the discontinued game tanki, made of the game client, the game server, this website and our Discord server with its bot. This policy explains which personal data we process when you use any of them. We do not sell personal data, show no advertising and use no analytics or tracking.
Revive Tanki is responsible for the processing described here:
E-mail: [email protected]
When you register, we store:
While you play, we store what makes up your progress and your place in the community: experience, rank, reputation, leagues and seasons, your items and currencies, statistics, battle results, friends and blocked players, clan membership, earlier usernames and your purchases in the in-game shop.
We need this data to provide the game to you (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). Some of it is public by its nature: your username, rank, clan, statistics and leaderboard positions are visible to other players and on the leaderboard of this website.
When you play, the game client sends technical information about your device and the client, such as details of its hardware and operating system and identifiers of the device. We store the latest of it with your account. After battles, the client also sends performance data, such as frame times, ping and your graphics settings.
We use this information to protect the game against cheating and abuse, including enforcing bans, to answer support requests and to find and fix performance problems. This is our legitimate interest in a fair and working game (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
Your IP address is needed to connect you to the game server. We do not store it with your account. It can appear in the server's log files, which also contain usernames and game events and are deleted after 30 days, and the server uses it to determine your country from public lists of address ranges.
To detect cheating, the server also keeps records of battles.
If you are banned, we may store information about the device and connection you used, to keep the ban in effect, for as long as the ban lasts.
The basis is our legitimate interest in running the service securely and keeping it free of abuse (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
Chat messages are not saved. The game server briefly keeps a player's most recent messages in a battle in its memory, so that they can be attached to a report; they are discarded one hour after the battle's last message.
If you report a player, we store the report with the names of both players, where it was made (for example the battle, map and mode) and the reported player's recent messages from that battle. The report is also posted in a staff-only channel of our Discord server.
If you break the rules, we store the punishment (warning, mute or ban), its reason, the moderator and any evidence. When a player is muted automatically for swearing, the message is stored with the mute.
Chat messages can be translated by a translation service: when a player uses the translate command, and for members of our staff who read messages in other languages. The text of the message is sent to the service for this.
Members of our staff can see the data needed for moderation and support, including reports, punishments, name histories and purchases.
The basis is our legitimate interest in a safe community and in enforcing the Terms of Service (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
Purchases are processed by payment providers, which process your payment data under their own privacy policies. We receive and store the order (number, item, price, currency, status) and, where a provider sends them with the payment, the payer's e-mail address, name and date of birth. Card or bank details never reach us. Orders that were never paid are deleted after 150 days; completed purchases are kept because we are required to keep records of them and to be able to handle refunds and disputes (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (c) GDPR).
Supporters on membership platforms are recorded with the amount and date of their support, so that they receive their rewards in the game.
We send e-mails only for your account: to confirm your e-mail address, with a code to restore access, and when your password was changed. We send no newsletters.
You can connect your Discord account in the game's profile. Discord's login then shares your Discord user ID and username with us (the "identify" permission only). We store both with your game account and do not keep Discord's access token. You can remove the connection in your profile at any time. A connected Discord account also lets you restore access to your game account.
A connected account is used to:
The bot runs on our Discord server. It answers commands that mention it or are sent to it as a direct message, assigns roles (clan, supporter, language and roles you pick with reactions), and posts game events and staff information in our channels. To do this it receives the list of the server's members and their updates. It stores no messages.
Discord processes your data under its own privacy policy: discord.com/privacy.
This website uses no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It sets a single cookie, NEXT_LOCALE, which remembers the language you chose; it is deleted when you close your browser.
The pages that confirm your e-mail address and connect your Discord account pass the confirmation code (and the e-mail address it belongs to) on to the game server.
The Development Diary contains embedded videos. When you open that page, your browser loads them from the video platform, which can see your IP address.
The game server, its database and backups run with a hosting provider in Germany. The website and the game's downloads are delivered through a content delivery network, and connections to the game can also run through further servers of our hosting providers, including outside the EU. These providers see your IP address when they pass data on.
Discord and some of the other services and providers named in this policy are located in the United States or other countries outside the EU. Data is transferred to them under the safeguards of the GDPR, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

To use them, write to us at [email protected] from the e-mail address of your account. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
