Hello, tankers! We're proud to announce the release of a new map alongside the launch of today's new season!

New map: Arena

Lost in time, the Arena stands as a mysterious relic from Tanki X's early development. Its true origins remain unknown, buried in the past with no clear record of who built it or why.

Originally a simple testbed for game engine technology, it has now been reshaped and brought to life with a fresh vision. Beneath its refined design lies a history we may never fully uncover – a quiet tribute to where Tanki X began.

You'll find the map in matchmaking starting today. From tomorrow on, you can also choose it in custom battles.

Matchmaking changes

We've listened to your feedback and improved matchmaking:

  • You no longer wait in lobbies – you're sent directly into the match.
  • The warmup countdown starts as soon as a fair balance is found. You can start battling right away while others are still joining.
  • There's no penalty for leaving during warmup while the battle is still waiting for players.
  • Squads of two are now placed on the same team, thanks to a broader range of ranks in matchmaking.

Black screen bug fixed – with a promo code

As many of you noticed, we had major server issues about two weeks ago. The dreaded black screen bug (scared noises) has haunted players for far too long – but we're happy to announce that its root cause has finally been fixed!

As promised, here's a promo code as an apology for the inconvenience. Enjoy some Premium days, X-crystals and blueprints for your modules:

Preset randomizer

If you name a preset "random", the equipped items of that preset are completely randomized every time you enter a battle. Keep in mind that this overwrites and changes the selected preset.

Other notable changes

  • Fixed bloom on Madness.
  • Flags dropped on Madness now land on the ground instead of at the tank's position (finally!).
  • Fixed kill zones on Moon Silence.
  • The tank rental offer is now available to everyone, with fixes for previous issues.
  • Two new loading screens by 8_208 have been added.
  • Testing: swear words are now censored instead of leading to immediate punishment.
  • Fixed several crashes.
  • Major server-side performance improvements, especially noticeable at login.
  • Many more minor fixes and improvements.
