Halloween is just around the corner – the day when many believe the spirits of those no longer among us cross the bridge between the spirit world and the world of the living. Over the next 10 days, the world of Revive Tanki will be steeped in the spirit of Halloween.
With massive effort and the help of amazing people, we used this event as a chance to test new content integrations. To keep everyone interested up to date on our development progress, we'll publish a more technical follow-up later. But now, let's talk about Halloween!
Evil pumpkins
All gold boxes have turned into evil pumpkins. Will you dare to catch one and get your crystals? Or maybe scare off your rivals by dropping one on top of them? You can get evil pumpkins in the shop under the "Pumpkins" tab.
Special maps
After a lot of work that often felt like some sort of black magic, the special maps have found their way into matchmaking. Among them you'll find, of course, the classic Lake Hell – but also a new one.
The new map is being rolled out carefully today. At first, we'll spawn it in matchmaking manually. Depending on how that goes, we'll activate it for general matchmaking. As soon as that happens, the new map will get its own post with more details.
How do you end up on a special map? Nobody knows. If you're lucky enough, you'll simply be teleported there – chance is the only way to play the most dangerous and mystical maps in the game. Another oddity: although the maps were added to ranked play, they don't reward reputation points. You do earn more battle points, though.
What else is known about the maps:
- Lake Hell is a replica of the Sandbox map, only much bigger.
- Only the DM mode works on Lake Hell.
- No reputation points are earned on special maps.
Halloween container
The "Halloween 2018" container drops randomly as a reward after battles. It contains:
- Epic graffiti Halloween, Halloween 2017 and the new graffiti Monster
- Epic ammunition Orange for Railgun and Twins
- Epic paints Autumn Leaves and Spider Web
- The glowing epic paint Depth
- Legendary skins Inferno for Firebird and Dictator, with fiery effects and smouldering track marks
The container can also be bought in the garage for 199 X-crystals.
Good to know:
- You only have a chance at a container if you earned at least 100 battle points in a battle you played to the end (without leaving).
- For every duplicate, you are compensated with 10,000 crystals.
- Once the celebration is over, the "Halloween 2018" container is removed: it won't drop in battles and can't be bought in the shop anymore. Everything you got from it stays in your garage forever.
- The legendary Inferno skins for Firebird and Dictator can only be obtained from the "Halloween 2018" container – there is no other way to get them.
During the celebration, the paints Halloween and Halloween 2017 are also available for 666 X-crystals each.
